The AMPRO Group was incorporated as an economic self-help group run by volunteer professionals for the community. Since its inception, it has launched several initiatives that aim to help achieve its mission. This section of the website explains our vision, mission, the people behind AMPRO and its strategy.

Our Vision

We envision an economically dynamic community in the new century
contributing to the growth of the Singapore economy with AMPRO
playing a participatory role.

Our Mission

Our mission is to act as a catalyst for economic change & development
in the community.

Our mission is also to foster and support the growth of
entrepreneurship in the community.

Our Strategy

To achieve our vision, we run ourselves like a company but driven with a clear social mission, spearheaded by a group of volunteer professionals and entrepreneurs.

The company pursues a four-pronged strategy comprising Islamic finance, strategic businesses, human capital development and social entrepreneurship. These ultimately form our core business.

Our People

We are run by a volunteer group of professionals and entrepreneurs
who make up a Board of Directors and a Board of Management.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors is Yang Razali Kassim, who is a
founder of the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP). He helped
set up the association in 1991 and served in various leadership capacities. He was Deputy Chairman of the Board and concurrently Chairman of the Executive Committee in the initial years before serving as Chairman of AMP from 2004 till 2006. He also helped set up AMPRO as an extension of the economic mission of volunteer professionals.

The group is made up of an excellent mix of established individuals,
each with vast experience accompanied with a wide spectrum of
knoweldge in their own fields.

Supporting the AMPRO Shariah Board are AMPRO's senior officers in
Islamic finance and insurance:

Abdullah Rajib

He was until recently the General Manager of India International
Insurance. He is also an adjunct lecturer with the Singapore College
of Insurance and a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He has
been in the insurance industry for 35 years and is one of the most
experienced experts in Islamic insurance or Takaful in Singapore.

Amin Ibrahim

He has 20 years of experience in banking at a senior level. He helped
establish the first Islamic banking project in Singapore by OCBC Bank.

Azmaniz Kairuman

He is currently the Deputy Head of AMPRO's Takaful Division and
member of the AMPRO Board of Management. Azmaniz holds
Master of Commerce (Funds Management) degrees from the
University of Western Australia and University of New South Wales
respectively. A French government scholar, he also received his MBA
degree from EDHEC Business School, France.

Kamariah Hashim

She has many years of experience in the fund management industry
and currently works as an Investment Analyst with Lloyd George. She
was previously a Fund Manager with DBS Asset Management where
she worked for 8 years.

Achmat Rizani, Drs

Achamt Rizani, Singapore PR, adalah seorang consultant untuk
masalah bisnis di Indonesia, baik dalam bidang Tour and Travel,
Investasi Perdagangan, juga dalam perencanaan proyek-proyek
pengumpulan amal kemanusiaan.

Selain sebagai consultant, Achmat Rizani juga adalah seorang pensyarah
(dosen) Pembinaan Keluarga Islam Singapore.

Jawatan yang dipegang saat ini, Consultant AMPRO, khususnya
Pembangunan Investasi wilayah Indonesia; tujuannya untuk
mempermudah komunikasi memahami strategi berinvestasi di
Indonesia dan mencari peluang-peluang baru di seluruh Indonesia.
